Do we know where these are made? I'm asking on behalf of someone else. I have cylinder beads that I believe are the same glass. ~Robin

Now that you mention it the yellow glass reminds me of 'greasy' beads. (Photo borrowed from the internet.)

Still hunting for my feather beads.

The item is a bolo tie. When I see them and I think of a late 1980s fashion trend in the USA, country music, cowboy boots, big hair.

I thought the cab might be some of the work out of Asia in the past few decades. No?

It does not match the style of cabs that I have seen from Europe, and I would guess China, not too old. But it is quite tricky to make a more educated guess....

my suggestion was based on the satin effect glass as well as the sour yellow colour...

Thank you very much for responding. The person with the glass cabochon deleted her post after half a dozen people tried to help her, and is no longer a member of the group where I saw it. Oh well.

I thought the glass work interesting. Thank you for your ideas on the topic.

I originally told her it was probably Asian (China or Indonesia). I asked here in case some of you might have other ideas. I explained that such glass pieces are made in workshops and shipped worldwide. The metal components come from jewelry supply companies. I might have popped her bubble of thinking the piece was artisan crafted locally from scratch.
