Thank you very much for responding. The person with the glass cabochon deleted her post after half a dozen people tried to help her, and is no longer a member of the group where I saw it. Oh well. I thought the glass work interesting. Thank you for your ideas on the topic. I originally told her it was probably Asian (China or Indonesia). I asked here in case some of you might have other ideas. I explained that such glass pieces are made in workshops and shipped worldwide. The metal components come from jewelry supply companies.
