these are nearly Deco style but could the beads be from the '50s?
between the feature beads are what appear to be small swarovski-type faceted bicones.
do we know when small ones like these were first made?

the red beads seem to be cut from a clear glass drawn cylinder with a trans. red coating.
they are joined doubles, and graduated sizes - a lot of work!
no ruler in the picture because chokers like these are always a set length.
the clear with black ones appear to be made in a more complicated way...
each black diamond shape also has a sort of angled longitudinal groove in its middle like a folded shape with 2 facets, but the 2 colours of glass are integral, melted together as one.

They seem to be Ercole Moretti of the type "Molate Trasparenti" on a sample card from 1930 to 1935 manufacture. Joyce had posted a green necklace of same series and age on 4/12/2015. See G. Moretti "Ercole Moretti - Un secolo di veneziane", Arcari Editore, Venezia 2009 - pages 98-101, pictures 108, 109, 112.

There are a couple of sample cards on ebay that show some of the amazing range of Moretti beads around in the thirties. I don't know how to quote ebay item numbers but a search should sufice.

It looks like you are referring to the Ebay seller Paropamiso, from (I think) the Venetian shop with the same name. I had not seen these before. They sure have some awesome goodies. Not in my pricerange, but there sure are some interesting sample cards in the mix.

For some reason the link led to my ebay "feed", where I got distracted for a few minutes...so maybe just plugging in an item # to the ebay search might be good...in my opinion, a most quality and authentic seller list! And reportedly a beautiful bead store in Venice - my sis went many years ago. There are images somewhere here on the forum from someone's trip there.....
