these are nearly Deco style but could the beads be from the '50s?
between the feature beads are what appear to be small swarovski-type faceted bicones.
do we know when small ones like these were first made? the red beads seem to be cut from a clear glass drawn cylinder with a trans. red coating. they are joined doubles, and graduated sizes - a lot of work! no ruler in the picture because chokers like these are always a set length. the clear with black ones appear to be made in a more complicated way... each black diamond shape also has a sort of angled longitudinal groove in its middle like a folded shape with 2 facets, but the 2 colours of glass are integral, melted together as one.
