Hello. Thank you for the warm welcome. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the types of mandrels and bead release used by Venetian bead makers. I read once I think that they used copper mandrels and no release, but not sure if this is true? Would there ever be a residue or bead release powder found in old Venetian beads? If not, how did they get the beads off the mandrels?

...is what I recall being told about Venetian lampwork. The cooled beads are put in acid that dissolves the copper wire. I cannot recollect if the wire is hollow or not.
