I started with twelve sixteen inch strands of natural coral, and added new brass corner-less cube beads from Steve Dunn, Hands of the Hills. I Divided, and strung the coral into sixteen strands, so I could kumi himo braid the extended cords. Finally, our friend Robert Burkett's bronze cicada bead for a slide.
Here you can see the unfinished strung design. With careful consideration I used 20g gold fill to make a bai, so Karen's beloved brooch would have no permanent changes, l and suspended Karen's Ganesh pendant from the necklace.
This is the version I could not live with... It truly sucked!!! I hated it!, and cut the pendant off.
An old Kuchi earing, and she's ready to rock. The piece drapes perfectly, and other than the length, no adjustments are necessary.
Thank you.
Very nice without the pendant, and even more wonderful with it! How did you add the brass beads around the edge? The fringe effect is lovely.
The necklace was conceived for the pendant, I had to find a way to incorporate it.
Sorry about the photo format, I really do not know why they load like this.
