I strung some of those aged picasso beads I asked about a few weeks ago. These are smallish, about 11/o or 12/o for the seed beads used. The accents around the pendant are a mix of handmade polymer clay beads and turquoise. (The bronze-looking tubes near there are polymer clay, too.) The pendant beads are mostly polymer clay--the green tube bead is turquoise. I think the horse pendant is just over an inch or so, stem to stern. (I left it at my studio.)

I really like the look--very subtle and quiet.

Wow. Beautiful. What is the pendant made of and is it old ? Love the colors!

I'm delighted it looks old. I make these artifacts with polymer clay formed into layers and folded until the layers get ultra-thin, looking like bone or ivory. Then I shape, mark, carve, age and patina each one so it resembles a prehistoric artifact. Most of my inspiration is ancient cave art, especially the ones in Northern Europe.

It's my first time using these new 'aged' matte picasso Czech glass beads. They're very expensive--around 10x-20x the cost of regular beads of comparable size--and kind of hard to find. So far, only a few resellers on Etsy carry them. I really like how they look. They're inspiring another colorway for my work!
