These wonderful old lamp beads are in such pristine condition I wonder if they ever made it to Africa, or were sold in the European market instead. The brown and gold feather bead appears on the Sick cards somewhere around the 1930s, but I've lost my notes and don't want to wade thru them all again.
The barrels have black glass underneath the gold, the little donuts have brick red glass beneath black. The barrels use twisted filigrana cane for the peppermint and blue-striped floral dots, with some sort of odd stripe-and-black-dot motif around the rims. Complicated beads.
Anybody know anything about them?
