Spiny Oyster Shell, dog bones?

Hi! I had a question I'd see if maybe someone could help me out with... after a couple hours of non stop Google searching -which yielded no results- I got the bright idea to check forums. So here I am.
Last year I went to a local gem and mineral show and I stumbled upon a booth that had tons of strands of beads for sale. My mom had talked to the owner for a few minutes and she gave me an offer of 5 strands of beads for 20 dollars. I got some citrine, rose quartz, amethyst, moonstone, and (I believe) what she called spiny oyster shell and said "this particular kind is called dog bones." They're white, about the size of a tic tac and as described, kind of look like a dog bone. They were the only strand she had which was disappointing because I really liked how different they looked and would have bought more.
Since then almost a year has passed and I've used my tic tac sized beads very sparingly. I'd love to have more but I have no idea where to find them! I've googled every combination of spiny, oyster, beads, dog, bones, etc that I can think of and have yet to find anything resembling what I'm looking for. If anyone has any idea what they actually are, where I can get more, or just any info you wouldn't mind sharing with me, it would be so appreciated. =)

Can you tell if the material is a natural material such as bone or shell, or are they glass or stone? It is very hard to tell anything without a better "macro" image that is in sharp focus. Also, a picture of the whole strand may be interesting, so we can see if the beads are extremely uniform in size and shape, or do they vary (indicating hand-made).

"Dog bone" is a term used to describe the shape of the beads, and not the material. Most dog bone shaped beads I've run into are made of glass.

Thanks so much for replying to my question! I'm pretty new at this so, please forgive my lack of info. =) From what I can tell, I believe they're shell, but I could easily be wrong. I took a picture of what I have l left, but unfortunately this page keeps telling me my picture is too big. Is there any way I could send it in a direct message on this site? Or perhaps another place here that lets you post bigger pictures?

Reducing pictures to post heere is a challenge - I use iPhoto on a Mac, and exporting to a .jpeg using Medium/Medium setting works perfectly. If you are on a PC or iPhone, I think you have to have a separate program to reduce pictures, such as PhotoShop.
But, I think Beadiste has found your beads, and searching other Chinese bead sellers may help you find a more exact match.

Size to 72dpi, approx 650 pixels wide, shoot or crop your image so your bead is about 70% of your frame, shoot your image with as little texture as possible in your background, choose medium quality when saving, or even high, and it's no prob. to come in way under 169k. All these "smart devices" these days prevent people from learning how to size an image themselves.

Guessing these might be Chinese beads, I did a quick zoom through PandaHall and found a couple of possible candidates. There may be more lurking...PandaHall is one of those place you can sink out of sight fast.

Wow! Those beads on the first link are so similar! Not exact, but that's the closest I've seen since I started searching. Thank you so much for showing me this site, I think I could get lost for a few hours. Lol
