i notice with interest that there are some examples in the Bonhams antiquities auction that come from the late Lady Gloria Dale's collection. i am sure her beads that are featured are not copies or "Tributes".
also the lot shown including the spotted beads is offered at a lower price than i'd have expected.
will you be in London, Fred?

Hi Stefany,

I am not traveling often to London like I did at one time.
But I would have enjoyed seeing these pieces first hand.
If you find time to preview, would love to hear your thoughts.
I believe I have already purchased a few pieces from Lady Dale's
collection from previous Christie's auctions and I am very pleased.

Cheers, Fred

Nephythys is on the left. Isis is her sister, and wife of Osiris. The things on their heads are the hieroglyphs that represent their names. The faces are strangely lopsided and have interesting expressions. Never seen anything like this, but I'm not and expert in the late dynasties.

The Roman mosaic face bead with checkerboard plaques alternating with the faces is astounding! I believe that the buyer of that pair of beads must be very pleased.
