I bought beads just like these in Thailand.
But I believe they are being made in India.
And are being sold as antique beads from Tibet.
It seems to me that the definition of the word "zi bead" has been expanded by salesmen
during the last five years to include many more kinds of black, brown & white agate beads.

Hello, I bought about 10 strand of these dark Brown Agate beads over the last 10 years. Most strands I bought in Thailand and most Dealers said that they brought them from Afghanistan. Im not sure if these beads where made there. Similar type and Quality beads exist in different shapes, but These olive shapes are the most common Ive seen. I received a lot of different Information about the Age. The more trustful Dealers mentioned usually 50-70 years of Age.
The Price for a full strand as shown on the Pictures was usually between 150 - 250$ a Piece. Last strand I bought about 4 years ago.
