Could someone refer me to a forum where I might find information about Devil's Work jewelry components? I'm particularly interested in the relative age of a piece I own. And, I'm interested in seeing examples of Devil's Work similar to mine, but as it appears in a piece of jewelry or other context from the period of it's making.

I have found some information on how Devil's Work was made, but not the above.

I'm assuming this forum is not the correct place to post a picture and inquire since these pieces are not beads, but please let me know if I'm mistaken and there's someone (or more) who might enlighten me. I'll be happy to post a picture of my piece if there is.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. There are several examples in her collection, including at least two necklaces with blue Peking glass and a truly fabulous example with red beaded links.

The knotting in the amethyst example you referenced is dated 19th century. I've been under the impression this type of necklace design was 20th century and very popular during the 1920s and 1930s. Am I mistaken?
