Here's a necklace that was mixed in with some Whitby jet, so my mind naturally jumped to jet. I thought it was strange that glass would be applied TO jet, but I'm far from an expert on this material so I thought it was a possibility? I have seen jet beads and glass beads mixed together on the same piece of jewelry.
When I took pictures, I noticed that the inside of the bead hole on the decorated beads is white. So probably these are glass beads strung with small real jet, yes?
Looking forward to hearing your opinions!

I do not know about the large decorated beads, but the small spheroids are shaped as glass beads of the kind widows (specially village folk)used to wear in Spain as recently as mid XX century. If so, they should be cold to the touch, comparatively heavy, and make a characteristic high pitched sound when hit against each other. Also, in case some of them show some chips, their surface should be shiny.

The large ones do look like glass. Lampwork, made on a mandrel. The white inside comes from the bead release on the mandrel.
Are you sure the small beads are jet? They look like they could be glass too. One has some marks that look like they could come from molding. I do not have any jet, buy I always understood that if you rubbed it on paper, it would give a brown line.

The link shows some more info that might be helpful.

The streak test works on an unglazed white pottery surface, not paper.
When i get back from holidays end of next week, i may be able to sort out a few whitby jet beads to sell as singles, so watch out at classifieds or on my website -
