I purchased several strands of what was sold to me as "Dragon Blood
Coral". On Etsy.com, I found a lady at the Hauser Gallery who was
selling strands like I had for $10.00 for 1 bead or $ 400.00 for one
strand. Would you wonderful experts comment on the beads that I bought
and the similar ones that I found on etsy. The lady from etsy said her
beads were from Africa.

I hate to say it, but I think these are not a natural coral, but a bamboo coral that is naturally beige in color, and that it has been dyed red/green. Another option is that they are not coral, but they are 'dragon blood jasper'. They do look fascinating, though. ONly way to find out, I think, is to sacrifice one in the name of 'bead research'. Break it in half, and see what it looks like.

There are quite a few items in this Etsy store that are misrepresented or very highly priced for what they are.

looking at the seller Hauser Gallery on Etsy, all of the bead listings are for beads that are typically misrepresented as something else, all of the "Vintage Chevrons" are new Chinese, the sand cast beads are slurry painted modern tourist stuff and the "Tibetan" carved carnelian melons were probably made last week.......I did not see a single bead worthy of being in any reputable Gallery. Sorry, I would learn from the mistake and not go back there
