The first picture shows the lions' teeth that were made in the Bapterosses factory in Briare. I had only seen these twice before: once in the Bapterosses museum, and one that was found by a woman in Briare. I was very pleased to be able to find these in Tucson and buy them at a reasonable price. There were two strands of them. The Picards picked up the first strand, and I picked up the second strand. The second picture is from the Picards and shows a sample card from the factory.

Why these are special to me is that to me they show how the Bapterosses were attempting to make more fancy beads, and not just the plain round and tile beads. These beads are very well made, but do have all the characteristics of a Prosser bead: the bottom surface is rougher, and it has the equatorial band.
