Hello, I'm very glad to have found this forum - it's fascinating.

I've looked through the archives and other threads, but cannot find a reference to the beads below. They are from Africa - I am sure they are glass, but what age and where from originally? German? Some of them are outstanding imitations of agate that I had trouble telling. How do you tell the difference? I think these are glass because the striations are so regular and because the ends look so clear-cut, and because of their provenance. But more information would be so appreciated. Many thanks
