The pictures below are of a necklace obtained around 1930 from Chief Tom Yallup of the Celilo Indians at Celilo Falls along Oregon's Columbia River.
It is a 28" strand made from graduated 1/4" to 1/2" shell wampum beads, beautiful 1/4" to 5/8" facetted cobalt "Russian" blues, 14 black steatite "spears" ranging from 1 1/4" to 2" in length, and an extremely rare black steatite 3 1/2" long by 1 3/4" tall drilled fish effigy pendant.
This necklace was in the collections of two former Oregon Archeological Society members until I obtained it about 10 years ago.
