I love komboloi, rosaries, malas...
Making them is also addictive: the compulsion of strict rules to be obeyed in their stringing is somehow soothing, after the boundless freedom enjoyed by the designer of necklaces.
Attached, a couple of recently strung Buddhist style rosaries.The first one is made of seeds, black coral (markers and gurubead) and silver counters. The second one is made of Chinese openwork-carved bone and Chinese amber (markers and gurubead).
