Question about new "aged" Picasso beads (Czech) (for you bead makers!)

The last year, I'm seeing more beads offered on Etsy advertised as "aged" Picasso beads. They're mostly Czech glass beads, often seed beads (from 1/o through 12/o), with a Picasso coating, often matte finished. I've included a couple of pics.

I've purchased ordinary Picasso-finished beads in the past, not nearly as expensive. These examples often include what looks like new striped pony beads, which are usually very cheap.

I've been trying to find a wholesale source, because these are so expensive (for new Czech glass beads), often running 10 cents or more per single 6/o bead. They look GREAT with my artifacts, though. I bought some from York Beads, but I just found out they closed shop last year.

I thought about using acrylic paint, but it could easily wear/wash off.

Since it's just a coating on the beads, I'm curious if adding a matte coating like this could be done with a micro torch? "Frit" comes to mind, but I'm not sure why!

I have tons of plain Czech glass beads that I'd love to experiment with.

Is this a ridiculous idea, or doable??
