Our trip to Tucson would not have been complete without a trip to the 22nd Street show to see the dino bones. A bit of a break from beads, although there are plenty of beads to see at this show as well.

In the next year, a huge new mall building will be built on this site, and will provide year-round selling spaces for the merchants as well as a finished indoor space for the gem show weeks. Hope that the food trucks and the entertainment stay the same - this venue had the best food trucks, and a handsome lone cowboy strumming his guitar and singing C&W and vintage rock tunes while we ate lunch under the outside tents.

Can you believe it's over, and that we are already talking about next year? But, the best of the best - both beads and people - show up in Tucson, so if you have not taken the trip - start planning as early as possible, because it's often very hard to get good accommodations after December.
