I saw many wonderful newly made beads like these in an airport shop in Denpasar, Bali during the early 2000's. I heard they were being manufactured in West Bali. Although Celuk -near Ubud- is better known for contemporary fabrication of jewelry in silver and gold. And I found none in Ubud, Celuk nor nearby in Sukawati crafts markets. Since I knew they were available in the Gift Shows in America at the time, I decided not to trek out to west Bali in search of them.
