The beads you post in the first image are very close, they seem to be made of carnelian in general. The beads I posted are in fact similar but the main reason for my post is my beads are jasper. I have more than a few beads like yours and when I compare how they were made as opposed to how the jasper beads were made it makes me wonder.

Thank you for your feedback and the wonderful images you posted. I also have quite a few of the beads in your second image and think they are precursors to the type you and I posted and perhaps by as much as 1500 to 2000 years"just a guess on my part."
