Can you tell if the material is a natural material such as bone or shell, or are they glass or stone? It is very hard to tell anything without a better "macro" image that is in sharp focus. Also, a picture of the whole strand may be interesting, so we can see if the beads are extremely uniform in size and shape, or do they vary (indicating hand-made).

"Dog bone" is a term used to describe the shape of the beads, and not the material. Most dog bone shaped beads I've run into are made of glass.
