These amazing beads are on eBay; item 221576649570. They are described by the seller as: “Unusual set of 3 finely made Chinese beads with Double Happiness character done in small pearls on a field of small coral or carnelian beads, the beads also have bright blue feather decoration on what might be a gilt silver metal, we are unsure if these were for a mandarin necklace. The beads are in good condition but have some losses to the bright blue feathers.” HEIGHT: 1 1/4 inches ( 3.2 cm ). WIDTH: 1 1/8 inches ( 2.8 cm ).

I would love to read the thoughts about these beads of people more knowledgeable than I. They don't seem old enough or like known court necklace beads. Does anyone know or have a suggestion of how they may have been used originally? Thank you in advance for the information.
