Because I question whether this may be an a new or old bead, it reminds me of old beads I have cleaned.
Sometimes after cleaning, GENUINE ancient beads look like they may be recent reproductions.

I usually feel that I can tell the difference between ancient beads and recent copies.
But this is not easy to learn or teach to others -especially when
the surface has been stripped of its patina.
