The traditional closing holiday time in France (and Italy) has been August since ever. Even the night watchers would go so to speak. In the past 15 years business and industry had to deal with the European and global partners who request more flexibility.
But when it comes to small businesses/ galeries, they more likely will still follow tradtion and close in August.
