If you are looking for good 'ethnic'/old jewels, there aren't that many addresses left. I only know of some in the 6ième arrondissement. And the 6ième says it all: you pay the price. In the triangle rue de Seine, rue Mazarine and its side Streets and Boulevard St-Germain you find quite a lot of galeries with ethnic art, mainly African. Here and there you find some ethnic jewels as well.

I found a small shop in the rue Mazarine,I think it was called 'l' Asie animiste' that had some pricy old Ladakh turquoise and some Tibetan amulet necklaces. The shop owner said these were her last necklaces she brought back herself in the eighties and that it was very difficult to find quality items nowadays.

In the rue Guégénaud you find 'galerie Argiles' where I got the shivers and the adrenaline peak: steep prices and some good ancient necklaces from an old collection: chalcedony, etched agate, turquoise, ... There were also strands of lesser quality.
And no, I did not spend a penny.
If any of you ever go there, please let me know of your findings.

So far my secret addresses and the end of this Paris tour.
