Original Message:   today's purchases- i had fun--- comments welcome-
this week while all grandchildren happen to be away, i am spending time going around the regular antique markets in London. after 7 days or so will write a short report- but the sun is out -and this morning i found all of these from several different dealers-

most noteworthy is a rather large recent pointy oval millefiori which still has a little label stuck on it that says "003 vetro artistico murano" with a logo, and the vendor who found it in w. africa says its moretti. -any corroboration or disagreement?

then there is a rather wild big blackish necklace which is threaded on old cotton string comprising 5 brass-mounted ?goat horns, 2 hammered iron discs, 12 large black round seeds, 8 claw-like seed pods (will look up the name) and 48 rudraksha nuts.

a necklace with rather extraordinary beads not at all old, which appear to be made from rounded chunks of curly pink shell with all the apertures filled up with clear turquoise acrylic , and then the spheres have been drilled, smoothed and polished for threading. i recognise the shells from items made in the phillippines.

a long string of red graduated wedding cake beads,

a set of 18 gorgeous venetian "latticino" and avventurina spiral decorated round beads most unsuitably threaded on a memory wire choker- now where did i put my wire cutters?

and a necklace of thin flat old cornelian triangles from W. Africa very similar to one i bought and showed about a year ago only less translucent.
