"Roman Era" carnelian beads found in Yemen, strung with Mali (neolithic?, OMG!)crystal beads and filler(?)18k gold beads of Indian manufacture. The carnelian stone is of a very deep red colour, and the holes are unusually small. Perhaps from the Middle East, not India? The crystal is very clear, roughly finished, with conical perforations-- which have been filled with gold tiny cylinders. All rights reserved by Bead Collector Network and its users |
