Original Message: Probably Early 20th C. |

Hi Wayne, These imitations in molded glass of lions' teeth are probably Bohemian/Czech, and were made in the early 20th C. I know them from Central African necklaces/assemblages that come out of Zaire (often combined with chevron beads and actual lions' teeth), though I expect they probably had a wider distribution. Locally-carved bone imitations also appear in the marketplace occasionally too. I expect these are more recent. I don't know of any new molded glass reproductions to speak of.
