Original Message:   Possible closure of Illinois State Museum (since 1877) housing The Stephen A. Frost Bead Collection
I am passing this disturbing news along from BeadsL, posted there by Valerie Hector.

"I just heard from a friend that the Illinois State Museum facilities are in danger of being closed due to budget cuts promoted by Governer Rauner.

As many of you know, the Illinois State Museum is home to the Dan Frost collection of bead sample cards. It's one of the smaller collections but still important to our community.

As far as I know, no announcements have been made as to where the cards would go if the museum were closed.

Below is what my friend sent in his email. "
