I found it to a trader, who sold all the new beads for African markets and I lived in Cameroun where he also came. He travelled around the world, and he bought the modern beads (chevrons, and all beads) and he also had some beautiful ancient beads for the collectors. He was Hausa and a formidable trader!! it was so difficult to haggle with him for days to buy some beads, days during which I did not sleep or I dreamed about the gorgeous necklaces where I had to choose only some beads. I could not always buy them because they were already very expensive, but I saw wonderful islamic and pre-islamic necklaces of Middle West (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran). It was a tearing not to be able to take them all!!
