Original Message:   Mystery Drawn Bead

Here's a bead I've not seen before, from a recent purchase of a strand of old trade beads. It's clear with white stripes that are under an outer clear layer. Appears to be broken and / or roughly ground down on both ends. The bead is 20 mm long and 13 mm diameter at the widest part. The hole is about 2.5 mm. Any ideas about it?
