Uwe, for example, in Germany has shown superb examples of reground millefiori beads. I think he started with minimal equipment. Also, at one time he showed us a good-sized frame for a painting (or was it a mirror?) that he decorated with broken trade beads, where there was still one pretty side.....he glued them all down as desired, filled in the spaces with grout, and painted when dry.....he then saved their beauty and repurposed!
