This beaded piece belonged to the mother of a friend - he is 75 years old so it's at least that old, he thinks. I was thinking 1920-1930? His mother was from Nephi Utah and active in the Mormon faith. The bee motif on the piece may be related to the Mormon/LDS connection. The Mormons came to Utah in 1847. They had also traveled abroad quite a bit - Europe and India.
He's looking for insight. A local "dealer" told him it could be native American and I disagree.
