Original Message:   Images of mulberry beads

Got back from a trip and wanted to show the variation in blue color on the old mulberry beads. These are smaller than your bead - 10-11 mm diameter. Also, the opaque blue color on your bead seems to match early 20th century Venetian and Czech beads more than the earlier ones - I will look through my Venetian bead charts & cards to see if there is anything similar.
