Original Message:   Actual Deco-era silver necklace with cloisonne and gemstones
Looks pretty ugly now that the silver has blackened and that horrid cinnabar bead has disintegrated.

The orange cabochons are real coral, blue is lapis, turquoise seems to be the natural stone, and the silver is all handcrafted.

The clasp is stamped "China"

I was thinking of using the hot water-aluminum-foil-baking soda method of removing the black tarnish, but the presence of the coral and lapis pretty much rules that out, and other types of silver polishes are destructive.

So there it is, I guess.
