Hi Mel, I noticed these bogus auctions a few days ago. I sent a message about one of them, politely pointing out that the chevrons were recent from India and the tic-tac-toe beads may be reproductions. All mixed in with authentic-looking padre beads. I asked if he was aware of this, and asked where he obtained the strand.

No response yet, and I doubt I'll get one.

Yes, the combination of new beads from India, new beads from Africa, repros - likely from TT Trading, and some old Venetians, is troubling in that the unaware buyer may think they are getting all antique beads.

Both auctions you listed are now marked as "sold".

And the seller has "guaranteed authentic" in his listing. I hope he gets shut down somehow.
