I went to vist the Shanghai museum of glass, and wow, was that a great museum. They had a special exhibit on Warring states beads, aka dragonfly beads that was quite extensive and well laid out. Also, they had lots of modern glass art, live demonstrations and much more. I highly recommend visiting it. Here is an image from the Warring States exhibit. The glass beads were lit with a small bright light from below, to show their translucency. They were difficult to photograph, but Peter tried. Will get back to you with these. There was also a catalogue to go with the exhibit with great pictures.
